TV series are one of the small pleasures of our technological civilization. Standing up as a family or alone in front of the television or computer screen to follow the adventures and misadventures of the protagonists, is a delicious ritual that is interrupted by the scarce information about its broadcast or the chapters that compose it.

Follow your favorite series from your computer

TrackSeries aims to make available to the follower the history of episodes broadcast, to be able to track those that we have not yet seen, to know which ones are going or have been broadcast in the last week, and which are about to arrive.

So when starting the application we find an empty board where the first action is to add the series we want to follow, which It is done by a quite efficient search engine, if we have the title of the series in English.

Here we face the only serious drawback of the application, which is only in English and does not include the Spanish versions of the series.

Once I have chosen my list of series (a bit freek, I must admit), I am automatically shown the enormity of chapters that I have marked as unwatched - undoubtedly due to the 50 years of broadcasting of Doctor Who -, that this week no episode of any of the series to which I have subscribed has been broadcast, and that a new episode of Big Bang Theory will be broadcast soon.

Details, details and more details

By clicking on the icon of a series, I access the screen where I am a brief synapse, an assessment by the public, the chain that issues it, the day and its current status.

On the right I have each and every one of the issued chapters which, in turn, have their own tab for the chapter itself. Including the date of its first broadcast, the title, the director and the writers.

Therefore, the information would be almost sufficient if it were not for the fact that the synopsis of the chapters is very scarce, just a few lines, that the actors that appear in the chapter are not detailed anywhere and thatWeb 2.0 capabilities are conspicuous by their absence: You cannot vote or comment.

Conclusions

This application, despite its extreme simplicity and few options, is essential for any fan of television seriesThe main information, what has been broadcast and when the next chapters are broadcast, is and is accessible in a very simple way.

If anything, its use is limited by the fact that in Spain the order in which the episodes of the series are broadcast is absurd in all cases, and that the application does not allow searches for the translated titles of the American series .

In addition, of course, that you have to "find your way" to access material published outside of Spain (the vast majority) and that it is not profitable for the producers to make it reach the local stations.
