I have to admit that I am a fan of this Spanish cartoon series that burst onto the Internet a few years ago with its famous Flash series.

But, like Calico himself who rose from his own grave, NikolXan has returned under the umbrella of a computer security company, and has allowed me to cry again laughter with some series that are absolutely great.

The Modern UI app

Although all the multimedia material can be accessed on the Cálico Electrónico website, it is true that it is much more comfortable from this applicationdesigned for the Windows 8 touch interface.

This gives me direct access to following the Twitter hashtag CalicoElectronico, where I can read the announcements of new material available and the comments of the community that follows the hero's adventures.

By clicking on the icon on the right of the timeline, “Deili Electronico”, I access the comic strips that are published regularly. And that, as indicated in one of them, achieves the almost impossible task of making me laugh in four cartoons.

Going back to the Twitter timeline screen, I can click on Calico's portrait to access the video library. Which is abundant.

Having access to all the chapters in HD of the four existing seasons, the Mundo Cálico shorts and several more loose chapters.

Finally, a YouTube video viewer will be launched which, by default, shows me the highest quality video that has been stored in the streaming platform.

Conclusions

For fans, like the writer of these lines, it is much more convenient to be able to access all the material through this application.

But on the other hand, on the negative side, it is not (far from it) up to the production it contains The interface is too simple and without any attraction beyond the images themselves, in addition to having malfunctions in the comic strips section.And, surprisingly, without any kind of sound effect.

The ideal would be to redo the entire interface, adapting it to the excellent quality of the content, and adding direct access to the online store.

And while I wait for the revised version, I have no hesitation in recommending it to brighten our lives with the adventures of Electronic Calico.
