There is also the Beta version of Edge that Microsoft released some time later. It is the alternative for those who want to try the new Edge but without taking big risks in terms of failures or errors.Edge in the Beta channel is the most conservative of the versions and therefore the one that receives the fewest updates. In fact, it just received its first update .

A wait of more than a month

Microsoft already assured in its launch that the Beta version of Edge would have some cycles in terms of updates, longer than usualIf in Canary they were almost daily and in the Dev channel, every week, in the case of the Beta version an update cycle of 6 weeks would be followed.

The latest update that Microsoft has released for Edge in the Beta version is numbered 78.0.276.8 and offers the expected performance improvements and new features. Among the latter are new features that have already been tested all those who have installed the Canary or Dev channel versions.

This is the case of protection against tracking or improvement in login options and synchronization with the mobile version of Edge or the possibility of accessing our favorites with a single button.

Remember that if you are using this version of Edge and if you don't want to wait (since the new update will be downloaded automatically), the process to update is the same as in Canary or channel Dev.
