Training is over and Microsoft Authenticator is no longer beta on Windows 10 Mobile
With security and privacy surveillance as flags in these times, users (at least a large majority) value the use of applications that make it possible to keep our data safe. Based on the fact that the most important thing is common sense (which is sometimes not the most common of senses) companies are increasingly in tune with these demands
In this way we see how synchronization in two steps is gradually incorporated into our daily life, being the last example , the one we saw a few days ago, the one on WhatsApp.And in this sense, one of the applications that Windows 10 Mobile users surely value is Microsoft Authenticator.
And no, it's not that it's new, because it was already in the Redmond operating system. The difference is that has already left the beta phase it was in and has officially arrived at Windows 10 Mobile, yes, almost 4 months later after doing the same in iOS and Android.
Leaving aside what may be the reason for this delay (it is striking that Microsoft itself urges its developments on competing platforms) Microsoft Authenticator in Windows 10 Mobile presents a design more in line with what is expected of the general aesthetics of the system.
Regarding the functions it offers, Microsoft Authenticator allows the user to use to carry out authentication using either an Azure AD account or a Microsoft account , thus facilitating the process and making it, above all, simpler. Here are some of the features it offers:
- An improved user experience, now updated to make it easier without compromising security.
- Better access to authenticate thanks to the use of a single _click_ on the same notification so that in many cases it will not be necessary to open the app to authenticate.
- Support for wearables, be it an Apple Watch or a Samsung Gear (the Microsoft Band will come later).
- Added support for fingerprints on iPhone and Android devices that support this method.
- Certificate-based authentication
Of all that has been seen, it is striking not to include the Microsoft Band while betting on other _wearables_ such as the Apple Watch or the Samsung Gear and although it is true that they assure that the support will arrive in a future update it's striking that they don't support input
