Microsoft Remote Desktop

For this week's application we are not going to discover a new application, but we are going to try to find new uses for one that you probably all know: Microsoft Remote DesktopAvailable for Windows and Windows Phone, it allows you to control a computer from your mobile or tablet.

"The configuration is simple: from the computer to be controlled, we go to the Remote tab in the system properties dialog. There we allow the connections to the PC, and we already have that system ready."

Later, from our mobile, we add a new connection. We will simply have to enter the name of the computer that we want to control (if you are on the same network, the IP is not necessary) and press connect. It will ask you to accept a certificate and then enter your user credentials. Once that is done, you will have a desktop in front of you that you can control without problems or restrictions.

The question is, Why do we want this montage? Well, for example, we can use our mobile phones to control a computer that sends movies or series to a television connected to the network; control music from anywhere in the house or simply check a download on your computer without getting up from the sofa (after all, one of the goals of computing is to work now to be lazy later).

The options are many, and considering how easy the process is, it's worth spending some wasted time you have on vacation to see what you can do.If someone has already configured the remote desktop, you can put in the comments the uses you have given it
