Acoustica, a simple player that works well
If we are looking for a simple music player that works, Acoustica is a very good option to keep in mind. When entering, it shows us several tiles that allow us to see the songs stored on our smartphone (artists, albums, songs, playlists, and genre). When we click on some of them it will take us to a list with all the songs that meet that criteria.
Acoustica has very short loading times and runs very smoothly, which is quite appreciated considering that the official Windows Phone application to listen to music it has some problems in terms of fluidity and loading times.
"The application is priced at $1.49, although it seems to be just a thank you, because the trial version seems to be complete."

Microsoft Math, learn math from your smartphone
Microsoft Math is an interesting proposal for all those who like mathematics and want to test their knowledge. This application has many tests that we must pass to obtain points.
We can choose tests of operations, algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus, and each one, inside, has different topics to choose from . When we select one, we can configure the application to download the questions to answer them when we don't have internet on our mobile.
In the questions, in addition to the problem and the box to put the result, we have the possibility to look for a bit of theory related to the question and, if we have problems, see a clue on how we should solve it.
The application is well designed and works very well. You even have the ability to create groups and share comments among the people there (for Microsoft, this is a good tool for teachers who want to implement technology in their math classes).
The only bad thing about this tool is that it is only available in English. We hope that Microsoft will bring the Spanish version soon.

Forest, focus on your homework and plant a tree
Forest is an interesting application that is available on all three operating systems and that allows users to improve their productivity in the task they perform.
The idea of the application is that we try to focus for 30 minutes on any task we do: study, work, read; whatever is. And then, when the 30 minutes are up, the app will reward us with a tree that we can plant in our electronic garden.
However, if we close the application or exit it to see another (such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, and others), it will give us a tree without leaves that will remain as a mark of our impatience.
While the app can't solve all our productivity problems, at least we have a meter to know how much time we should dedicate to our taskIt would be nice if Forest let us configure the working time later or, at least, change the 30 minutes to 25 minutes, in order to be able to use it under the Pomodoro technique.

4Effects, add up to 4 effects on a single image
4Effects is an interesting application that allows users to add up to 4 different effects to a single photo.
The application is easy to use: when it starts, we must first choose the image that we want to modify, then we must select the division that we want for the effects (it can be 4 vertical bars, 4 squares, and more ). Then, once the loading is finished, we must select a box and add the effect we want from a list (or rather carousel) that we have in the lower right part.
Once that is done, we can save and share the image with the effects applied.
4Effects is a free application and is available for both Windows Phone 8 and 8.1.

FlatWeather, a simple but visually appealing weather app
FlatWeather is a weather application that stands out, first of all, for being simple and offering fair and sufficient information to know what the weather is and will be like in our city. And secondly, the interface and colors are Flat Design, with soft colors and shadows to differentiate each element.
The application will show us the current weather, the temperature and the wind; and then if we pull the arrow at the bottom of the app, it will tell us the weather for the next few hours and days.
FlatWeather is a free application ( although with). If we pay for the premium version, in addition to eliminating the , it will also give us alerts about bad weather conditions that are about to occur.
