5 Featured Windows Phone Apps of the Week (II)

Table of contents:

Anonim

As we announced last week, every Friday we will bring 5 interesting applications that we must try on our Windows Phone. This week's selection is about organizing our images, managing social profiles, and listening to music with another player.

Photo Sweep, an easy way to delete photos taken with your Windows Phone

Photo Sweep is an interesting application that allows us to delete all the photos we have taken with our Windows Phone. The way to delete images is very simple and, one would even say, entertaining.

When we start the application, it will show us each photo we have on our Windows Phone, from the oldest to the newest. Then, at the bottom we have two large buttons that will let us choose if we want to delete it or keep it.

If we choose to delete it, the application will move them to a recycle bin that we can then clean to eliminate, now yes, permanently. As a detail, in the upper right part of this section shows us how much space we would free up on our smartphone

Photo Sweep is free, but it has , which we can then get for $1.99. And finally, keep in mind that this application only deletes the photos that are in the "camera album".

Onyu, save and share information with your Windows Phone

Onyu is a new application coming to Windows Phone that allows us to save personal information –securely– and share it with other contacts that are also in the application.

Onyu, first of all, stands out for having an attractive design and a very fluid interface. Undoubtedly it shows that there was a meticulous work on this matter, and it shows in the images they use, the icons, and other elements that are consistent with an aesthetic that the application wants to propose.

But the most important thing is that Onyu always encrypts our information in the best possible way. For that, all encryption is done from our smartphone, which means that they have –in theory– no way to access it.

We can save information such as address, email, telephone, nationality, date of birth and much more. And then, we can share it with other users who are also on Onyu, and have all our important contacts at hand.

How is this different from Windows Phone Contacts? Well, not too much if we see it, because Microsoft is actually very committed to the issue of caring for our personal information. Onyu, in this case, would add a few more layers of security.

But it depends on each one if he finds it useful or not. Maybe companies will find it useful to have a tool like this to save relevant information about their employees.

News Live Tiles, add tiles from your favorite sites

News Live Tiles is an interesting application that allows us to create tiles for news sites that will later show the headline and image of the last published articleAnd then, when we click, it will take us to that web page to see its articles.

The application is a good way to decorate the main screen a bit with some images of topics that interest us. Also, while News Live Tiles has a few preloaded tiles from major sites, it also lets us add our own.

We can use the search box to find our favorite sites, or create the tile by hand by entering the required information. The only thing is that this function is premium, and we must pay $0.99 for it ( although it also removes us).

The design of the application is simple and easy to use. In addition, it also has notifications of the latest articles that are arriving.

News Live Tiles is a free application, but, as we mentioned, to add custom sites and remove it we must pay $0.99.

Perfect Music, another option to play music

Perfect Music is a new app from the folks at Perfect Thumb (who have a bunch of other Perfect-Something-like apps). Eitself is an interesting music player, with a different interface, and quite functional.

Perfect Music has a different way of accessing the songs, since for this we must access an option at the bottom so that we can display several circles with options such as "Albums", "Songs", “Gender” and more.

When we click on any of them, a window will open with the songs ordered by the chosen criteria. We can choose a song for it to start playing or swipe from right to left to display other options such as add to playlist, create a tile, mark it as a favorite, and search for lyrics.

The main screen is a disc with the image of what we are listening to that rotates on itself. On the sides we have two bars, one of which is used to control the volume and the other we do not know (it is not even mentioned in the guide).

The player is interesting, although it has some problems like, for example, load times a bit high, making the use not be as fluid as one would expect. In any case, it works well and it's a different formula from what we normally see in music players, not to mention that it's free.

Sharit, share and schedule messages to social networks

Sharit is a new application for Windows Phone that many will undoubtedly find interesting and useful, given the scarcity of this type of tool. It allows us to send messages to all the social networks we have with a single button, or schedule them for the future

This tool can be very useful for Community Managers who want to publish to several social networks with a single button, or schedule particular messages for each profile from their smartphone. Let's imagine, for example, we are at an event and you have to do the coverage; With Sharit you could schedule new images on Twitter every 30 minutes and thus not send them all at once.

Sharit has integration with Facebook (personal profile and fanpage ), Foursquare, LinkedIn (personal and business), Tumblr, Twitter, Weibo, Xing , and Yammer.

The usage can be a bit hard to understand at first, but after trying one or two messages we get the hang of it. To send a message, the first thing we must do is select the social networks to which we want to share an update, and then, in the search box, we write what we want and then we press "enter" (the button below to the right) to send. Images and maps work in a similar way.

Sharit is completely free, and, for now, does not contain any kind of internal purchases. Most likely, the company behind it, i6ea, uses it as a portfolio for its application development services.
