Send Anywhere comes to Windows Phone
Table of contents:
Send Anywhere is an interesting application currently available on Android and iOS that very much solves the task of sharing files from one terminal to anotherAnd although the version that reaches Windows Phone is functional, the final design has not been carefully done (it could even be said that it is amateurish).
With this application we can choose files from the Photos, Videos, Documents, Music, Downloads, and Ringtones folders to upload them to the Send Anywhere servers and receive a download code from them. We share that code with anyone who also has the app installed so that, after inserting it, they can download the content we send
The Windows Phone app is quite functional, so at least we give it a thumbs up for that. However, what's worrisome about this one is how little attention was given to design and the interface. We could even say that the company launched the application by mistake.
Send Anywhere part is shifted a bit to the right, covering a small chunk of the app (apparently they messed up the resolution setting). The titles and texts of the main screen can be selected as if they were a text box, although –at least– it doesn't let us modify it. The rest of the design is quite basic, and you only need to compare it with the Android version to realize the difference:
Obviously it's a shame they're still releasing apps like this just because Windows Phone seems to be the minority, and even though we're used to getting things done halfway, this is already a poor job.
Anyway, Send Anywhere for Windows Phone is functional, so at least we can send and receive files without problems (in theory). The application is completely free, and only available for Windows Phone 8.1.
