The Foursquare application already has its new version in the Windows Phone Store
Table of contents:
Foursquare announced in spring its intention to split its service between two applications, one with the same name as always but redesigned and another new named Swarm. During the summer the change became effective and this second application was soon available on Windows Phone, but the first continued to retain its previous appearance and function on the Microsoft system.
After some time in beta, today, finally, the new Foursquare application arrives on Windows PhoneIt does so with an update that places it at version 4.0.0.0, and, what is more important, completely redesigns it, converting it to the new format adopted by the company. From now on, Foursquare will be the application that helps us search for and discover places according to our location and our tastes.
To achieve this, Foursquare makes use of the large database built over the years by users of the service and personalizes its offer based on our searches, ratings and tastes; as well as that proposed by our friends and related experts. The objective is propose us from the application the best venues and those that best suit our tastes To carry out the mythical check-in and keep in touch with our friends we will have to resort to Swarm.
The new Foursquare application has four tabs from which we can search for premises, locate the closest ones, specify our preferences and visit our profile. The leading role is taken by the first two, from where we can access all the premises registered by the service and consult their characteristics and the opinions of other users.
As always, Foursquare can be downloaded completely free of charge from the Windows Phone Store Also we will have no problem making it work on any version of the system, since the application is available for both Windows Phone 8.1, Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 7.5.
