ScrobbleMe lets you send your Windows Phone streams to Last.fm
Table of contents:
Almost everyone who likes music and technology at the same time knows Last.fm For those who don't, It is, roughly speaking, a social network where you can keep track of all the songs you listen to, and then share your musical preferences with friends or people with tastes Similar. It is an idea that works well only if Last.fm is able to connect with all the devices or applications that we use to listen to music, but unfortunately, this social network does not officially support sending songs from Windows Phone
But as often happens in these cases, we have a developer who comes to the rescue of Windows Phone users, creating an unofficial application called ScrobbleMethat allows us to send the playback counts from our smartphones to Last.fm.
"Using it is as simple as entering our username and password, waiting for the application to read our play history, and then pressing the Scrobble songs button to send them."
Of course, scrobbling is not automatic nor does it happen in the background. To keep our Last.fm profile up to date, we must open ScrobbleMe periodically (every 1 week, for example) and ask it to send the most recent songs. Luckily, the app is able to recognize which reproductions have been sent before and thus scrobbling only those that are missing. We&39;re also allowed to choose songs we want skipped or not sent (typical musical guilty pleasures)."
As an interesting addition, ScrobbleMe allows us to directly consult the list of our most listened to artists and favorite songs, although it does not allow any kind of interaction with these lists. Perhaps in a future version the application could improve by adding integration with the Xbox Music store or with the local music collection.
