Caledos Runner

If we talk about running applications on Windows Phone probably options like will come to mind for most of us Runtastic or Endomondo, which are the most popular apps in this category. For this reason, today I wanted to highlight another existing option for Windows Phone, less well-known, but which is as or more complete than its rivals.

This is Caledos Runner, an application developed by Caledos LAB exclusively for Windows Phone, and which offers us a simple and practical, along with full integration with the operating system.

We have a live tile that will show the total kilometers traveled and calories burned in training, and with compatibility with Xbox Music and MixRadioto play playlists from the application while we run.

Like all applications in its field, Caledos Runner will record the speed and route through GPS on our outdoor runs, also offering to give us voice informationevery few minutes or kilometers on how our pace is going. Unlike what happens in other apps, these indications work without problems even when we are listening to music in the background, it simply pauses momentarily, and then starts playing again.

We also have the option to enter workouts manually and share them on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, and to consult simple statistics on kilometers traveled and calories burned and calories at the week, month, or year level.

One of its best features is the complete integration with the RunKeeper service All we need to do is enter our username and password for this service so that all the runs recorded by the application are also stored online. Caledos Runner is also compatible with certain brands of heart rate monitors, which we can connect via Bluetooth to record the evolution of the heart rate in each workout.

The app itself is free, but includes the option to pay for premium features like graphs and advanced statistics that show altitude and speed, the same support for heart rate monitors, or for removing the promotional hashtags that are included when sharing workouts from the app.
