A few days ago, Rudy Huyn, known for giving us many of the applications (such as 6tag or 6sec) that many of you probably use today, launched his new Dropbox client for Windows Phone 8, called Cloudsix.

As usual, Rudy's app has a simple but visually pleasing design and various tools that make it quite useful.

Watch and upload to Dropbox

The first thing we can do with Cloudsix is, naturally, see content that we have in our Dropbox account.Images, videos, Word documents, Excel, Power Point, and PDFs (if we have Adobe Reader installed) are some of the files that we can view from the application .

Of course, we can choose to download everything we want to save it on our smartphone. I practice when we want to bring a document that has been left in the cloud, or show a photograph that we have stored there.

Looking is not all that the application allows us, because it also allows us to upload photos or videos to our Dropbox account We simply have to Select the content you want to save, click Share, and choose Cloudsix for Dropbox. Then the application will ask us where to save it and that's it.

Unfortunately, Office or Adobe Reader documents cannot be sent to our Dropbox account, which is a pity. But following this line, it is also worth mentioning that we have, on the left, an option called “Sync Pictures”, which will send all the photos from the camera album to the cloud(and can be enabled to automatically upload these photos when it finds a WiFi connection).

Multiple accounts, search box, and favorites

The application, as you will have seen from the photographs, is divided into three parts. The one in the middle corresponds to the file browser of our Dropbox account, on the right are the favorite folders for easy access and a search box to find what we want, and on the left are the options.

Something to note about this is that when you move your finger from left to right, the application tends to get a little stuck and not detect our movement. Let's hope Rudy fixes this soon.

To put a folder as a favorite, we must keep our finger on one so that the contextual menu opens, and there we select “Add Favorite”. Another thing we can do in the contextual menu is share the link of the folder to social networks or copy the link to share it by email, WhatsApp, or wherever. This also works with images and documents that we have in Dropbox.

Then, if we go to the options, on the left, we have the “Manage Users”. In this part we can add other Dropbox accounts. A useful feature if you are someone who uses Dropbox for both personal and professional use.

Going to “Settings”, we will find the application settings, where, in addition, we can configure a password that the application will ask us every time we start it. A good way to protect our content from other people.

A great client for Windows Phone 8 users

Rudy Huyn did it again : He saw that Windows Phone had an empty slot and decided to get his hands dirty by developing a new app. And the final result is quite satisfactory.

Yes, it may be necessary to correct a few details, but luckily You seem quite motivated with your application , well, in fact, it has already released an update that allows you to view images in PNG and GIF. It's a matter of waiting to see how he continues to improve it. In addition, he also commented that he will continue to release Cloudsix for other cloud storage systems like Box and MEGA.

Cloudsix for Dropbox is available completely free for all Windows Phone 8 terminals, though it comes with (which can be removed for $1.29 ).
