Spotify for Windows Phone renews its interface and adds new features
Table of contents:
The Spotify app for Windows Phone has received an update that simplifies its interface, so it's easier than ever to find songs, and adds some features that will allow us to discover new songs that the application will recommend based on our tastes.
For example, we can choose between different recommended topics depending on whether we are going to listen to music while we are at the gym, have dinner with our partner, or have a meeting with friends. There is also the possibility that the application plays music based on personalized recommendations, without us specifying anything else.
All this can be done from the two new sections of the application:
- Discover: through this section we can discover new songs personally recommended for us. According to Spotify, to do this they combine the best technology in the industry and various social tools, along with content from music experts such as Pitchfork, Songkick, Tunigo and more.
- Explore: in this section we can find different playlists for each moment, and even for each state of mind. There is also the possibility of listening to the best lists or the new songs.
Another novelty is the long-awaited Radio section, in which we can create our own stations, or listen to those of other users. All this accompanied by a renewal of its interface as I mentioned at the beginning.
This change has been made thinking of simplifying the interface, with the aim of making the use of the application as easy as possible. A change that brings its design closer to the Android and iOS versions.
Of course, you still need a subscription to Spotify Premium to use the application. Later the possibility of listening to music from the mobile will also be incorporated for free accounts.
