Nokia releases updates to its Camera and Camera Beta applications
Table of contents:
If the Nokia Lumia have been defined for something, it is because of their careful photographic section. Those from Espoo have not only taken care of the hardware of their smartphone cameras but have tried to provide them with a suite of applications that enhance them. Among them, the main one is Nokia Camera, which today receives an update along with its new version still in testing: Nokia Camera Beta
The update of Nokia Camera is focused on improving the operation and correcting errors of the application without adding significant changes. The novelties are reserved for the Nokia Camera Beta update that incorporates new functionalities preparing the application for the arrival of Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan.
The list of new features added to Nokia Camera Beta include support for vivid images, continuous autofocus and the ability to capture surround sound in video. The problem is that these three functionalities are reserved for Lumia Icon, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 930 terminals that work with the Lumia Cyan update.
Fortunately, other users with other models in the Lumia range will be able to enjoy the rest of the news. Among these we find a new view mode for photos, which now incorporates full resolution zoom and video playback or captures taken with other applications such as Cinemagraph, Refocus and Smart Cam; as well as integration with the Creative Studio and Video Trimmer applications.
New versions of Nokia Camera and Nokia Camera Beta can now be downloaded from the Windows Phone Store Both are fully available free for Lumia mobiles with Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Amber update, but be aware of the issue of limiting some functionality to certain devices.
