It has taken its time but Microsoft has finally decided to port its reading application to Windows Phone 8.1. Under the name of 'Windows Reading List', users will be able to install on their mobiles with the latest version of the system the application known in English as Reading List and whose desktop version was introduced to accompany Windows 8.1 months ago.
'Windows Reading List' comes to Windows Phone 8.1 in a universal app format and bears many similarities to its desktop counterpart. In this way on the mobile we can also add content that we want to leave for later from any application or web page and consult our list of readings that will remain synchronized at all times.
To add elements to the application from the phone, all you have to do is share them with it by accessing the share option provided by the Windows Phone menus. Three steps will suffice for our elements to be incorporated into the rest of the stored readings. All of them will appear in a chronological list so that we can consult and manage them later.
The front page of the app will bring featured and recently added content to the forefront with a rich view showing the title, images and text source. When opening an item in our reading list we will access the application or web from where we have saved it.Back in the application it is possible to consult the articles ordered chronologically and by categories, from where we can share and delete them.
The 'Windows Reading List' application is now available in several languages, including Spanish, in the Windows Phone Store. The application is completely free but requires having Windows Phone 8.1 on our phone, so for the moment only those with the Preview for Developers installed will be able to access its readings Windows pending also from their smartphones.
