Eltiempo.es now available for Windows Phone 8.1

The famous application Eltiempo.es until now only available on Android and iOS comes to Windows Phone 8.1 completely free and with a renewed designIf we compare the interface of this version with that of its equivalents for the competition's terminals, we will see that we are dealing with a more modern interface.

Thanks to this application you will be able to obtain the most reliable forecast for the next 14 days in more than 200,000 locations around the world. Let's see what you can offer us.

Eltiempo.es for Windows Phone

As soon as we open the application we will find ourselves before what could happen as a lock screen for any Windows Phone, which will inform us of today's forecast. The background image will change randomly, showing us photographs of our city.

If we have given the application permissions to use our location, it will automatically detect where we are. Once this is done, we can access the hourly forecast of the next 3 days, or the day forecastof the next 14 days.

There is also the possibility to display the entire forecast in the form of a horizontal graph. This view will be activated by placing the phone in a horizontal position, or by pressing the view graph button .

From the lower bar of the application we can access the menu, where we will see all the other available sections.Here we will find the Notices section, where we will have information on risk alerts due to different meteorological phenomena , as well as the affected area and the duration of said alert.

If we pin the application to the Start menu, we can see the forecast for the next few days quickly through its Live Tile, depending on the size we choose.

There is even a section called Skiing, dedicated to the forecast of the main mountain passes And you know, better make sure that the weather is not going to be bad before going on vacation, especially if we go to points of considerable altitude.

All the information you need through maps

From the Maps section we can see weather maps of different countries, and even one of the whole world. These will allow us to see the forecast for rain, clouds, temperature and wind for the next few days, as well as Meteosat satellite images of the last 48 hours and rain radar readings.

We will also be able to consult maps of the coasts of Spain, thanks to which we will have information on the forecast of the evolution of the wind, the waves and water temperature.

Create your own images with today's forecast

In the Create your postcard section you can use images from your gallery or use the camera to take a photo, and later customize them with information about the current weather in your location.

You can choose between two positions of the text, depending on whether you want to create an image for the lock screen or a postcard to send to your family or friends. You can also change the color of the font to make it more readable.

If you create a postcard, in addition to the option to save the image to the phone, which is available in both cases, you will see the share option that will allow you to send the image to your contacts using the applications you have installed.
