Get your perfect photo on Windows Phone 8 with Blink from Microsoft Research

Two main causes are to blame for so many unsuccessful photos: the time lapse between pressing the shutter button and taking the photo itself, due to hardware limitations of the mobile phones themselves; and the slow shutter speed which makes it practically impossible to get a clear image in low light or speed conditions.

Microsoft Research looks for the solution with Blink

Taking into account that almost all current smartphones are also capable of storing video (most, at least, in 720), Microsoft Research has published an application that, instead of taking a single photograph, what it does is take a long series of captures of images, yes, at low resolution.

Then offers us a very friendly interface where we can choose which of all the photos we want to keep, save, share, send by email, etc.

Also, for teens obsessed with taking selfies, it lets you use the front camera; that yes to VGA quality.

But this application has a negative side, and that is that it is designed to be viewed on mobile phones. That is, the photos are taken at 800x400 pixels and the result is obtained in this low quality. Excellent for viewing photos on mobile or in a digital frame, but insufficient for paper or higher resolution devices such as a laptop or television.
