Nokia Xpress comes out of Beta and offers important features
Table of contents:
The very curious browser Nokia Xpress has come out of beta today, offering new features among which we highlight the use of the application as a fairly agile RSS reader.
The idea presented by Nokia with this project is to offer a web browser that, using page compression, reduces data consumption when visiting them, in addition to reducing the considerable use of the battery, Nokia goes through the pages first web by their servers for the compression process and then send them to the user.
Now that Nokia Xpress comes out of beta, it comes with extra features, among which we highlight the anchoring of a live tile for monitoring our data consumption, an option with contextual search supported by Bing, we can now store videos and images on SkyDrive for later viewing and we have the ability to translate any page (yes, Spanish is available).
But the most curious novelty of Nokia Xpress is called Magazine, an option that allows RSS storage for later viewing outside online, Magazine maintains a reading-type view from which we can read a brief introduction to each article and then access the full version of each one using the same page compression.
I've only been using Nokia Xpress for a few hours and with the additions that have been implemented I can say that it's a good alternative for those of us who maintain a limited data rateby our operators, and without a doubt the Magazine option that it includes is a good option if you are looking for an RSS reader. The application is free and has different versions for both Windows Phone 7.x and Windows Phone 8.
