Word's predictive text comes to Android to save us time writing and minimize errors
Surely when writing with your mobile, you have experienced typographical errors. Words that are not the ones you want but are corrected or at least that's what the keyboard suggests, thanks to the predictive text function. A function that can already be tested in Word in the Android version
Microsoft is bringing one of the most anticipated functions to its word processor par excellence and is doing it on Android, the platform on which which also already has a phone for productivity such as the Surface Duo that we have seen a while ago as (9 until the beginning of 2021 and it is now when Microsoft c begins tests to port this function to AndroidTo do this, it has released Build 16.0.14131.20072 of Office Mobile for Insiders.
Predictive text or text prediction is an option that allows you to write faster by avoiding having to type words that come after it A function that improves with use, since the system learns from what we write and uses the context, although that does not make it 100% effective.
Hopefully this new feature for Android will be similar to what we can find in the desktop version of Word When typing, the end of the words we are writing or the next words will appear marked in another color (gray) and it is the user who decides to accept the proposed word by sliding their finger to the right anywhere on the screen or reject the prediction by sliding finger to the left or continue typing.
In addition, and as in the desktop version, this function can be deactivated in section Settings, unchecking section Show text predictions as you type."
With the new text prediction function we can write faster and reduce the number of typographical errors, something basic especially when we write on the virtual and small keyboard that a mobile has.
