A few hours ago Microsoft announced new features that come to Excel but to the web version. This is a series of improvements that either have reached the online version or will soon with the aim of bringing the benefits closer to what the version offers desktop.
The utility to create online calculation hours wants to be more powerful and so, for example, a new similar mini-toolbar has been added to that of other Office series applications or the ability to customize cells can now be better drawn or removed to better emphasize them.
Custom cells and tables
The goal of this enhancement announced on the support page is to help people create more personal and consistent looking spreadsheets . In this sense, they have added two new options to customize the spreadsheets.
On the one hand a new color palette has been added to be able to change the appearance of the cells to our liking and it has also been integrated a new gallery with cell styles in the online version.
In the first case, all you have to do is click on the more colors option and then choose a specific color with the sliders or, if you prefer, enter hexadecimal values or RGB values. For its part, the styles gallery allows you to select fonts, number formats, cell borders, and shading"
Cells are also now easier to outline thanks to new options for drawing borders, drawing border grids, and erasing borders.
Moving on to tables, Microsoft has added four new features such as the ability to shape any data as a table, ala ability to add an entire row to the table and the corresponding table styles more easily and rename a table more easily.
These enhancements are now available and Microsoft has also announced that they will offer the option for printing to Excel online, although it is of a possibility not yet activated.
