Next to Windows, the other hallmark of Microsoft&39;s brand is its office suite. With well-known integrated applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel... it is one of the most widely used tools worldwide that has seen its market grow even more with its availability in phones and tablets."

We have talked repeatedly about Office, about the news that Microsoft has been releasing for the different members that make up its office application packages. And today we are left with two new functions that the American company announces for WordTwo improvements based on the artificial intelligence platform of Azure Cognitive Services.

Transcribe in Word

The first of these is the function Transcribe in Word A tool that will allow us to record conversations directly in Word thanks to an automatic transcription . A functionality that allows detecting and differentiating the speech of different people.

Once the transcription has been generated, the user can revisit parts of the recording by playing the audio with time stamps and, if necessary, make the appropriate corrections. In the same way that we can record a conversation in real time, we can also load existing audio in .mp3, .wav, .m4a or .mp4 files to get the Word transcript.

This tool currently only supports US English and is limited to five hours of transcription time per month for uploaded recordings and a 200MB file size limitation. It is available to Microsoft 365 subscribers and is compatible with the new Microsoft Edge or Chrome browsers.

Microsoft Word Dictation

"

On the other hand, there are improvements to the Microsoft Word dictation function which now supports voice commands thanks to a series of commands compatible. The user can activate instructions to format a text com can be last sentence in bold>"

The voice command dictation option in Word is available in Word for the web and Office Mobile for free just by starting Sign in to our Microsoft account. The Word and Word for Mac desktop apps in Microsoft 365 will have to wait until the end of the year to receive this enhancement.
