Urban Garden Hero

The megathon 2013, undoubtedly the largest development event in Spain, was held last April with more than 700 developers in 14 different cities, simultaneously.

Now the list of the winning applications of the event has finally been published; that they have had several weeks to wax and polish their developments and publish them in the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 store.

And today I bring the winner of both categories: Urban Garden Hero

To bring your urban garden into the real world

I must admit that I'm terrible at plants, which is why I find this application quite useful so that small gardens have a chance to survive in my big hands.

Since that is what this app is about: it is a tool that will allow me to manage my urban garden, indicating when it is necessary to carry out a maintenance task: watering, harvesting, etc. But in addition to this, for carrying out the indicated tasks I will get $seeds with which I can customize Millo (my adventure partner), who will improve as my garden improves.

This way I can create a plot where I can decide, from a small library of crops, the type of plant I want to plant; when I have to do it; How much should I water it per week? and the type of product that I am going to obtain.

It's certainly a small app that works on a single Windows Phone 8 Panorama-like control, with a very specific utility (like almost every app in the Store), but with a careful design and a simple interface.

And now I'll let you know that I have to go water the tomatoes, I just planted them and I want to try if playing classical music works for them.
