While we already have some pretty good GPS navigation apps on Windows Phone, it never hurts to have more options. Today we bring you one more application, CoPilot GPS , which has just arrived on Windows Phone with many features, although without standing out too much in the design section.

Of course, we can count on the basic options: offline maps; navigation by car, bicycle or on foot; alternative routes and site search. When it comes to working with routes, it is quite advanced: we can modify the route by dragging it with our finger or use an alternative route for the next X kilometers (useful if there is a traffic jam or blocked street). We can also see the route as a list of turns, and we have the possibility to see the map of each of those turns. In addition to that, we have other interesting features: you can search for sites on Yelp or Wikipedia, customize the navigation screen so that the data that interests you the most is displayed, save where you've parked, or check-in with Facebook directly from the application.

CoPilot GPS is free, although some features only have a 14-day trial license: voice navigation, speed limit warnings, traffic information, and lane and exit indicator. To continue using them you have to buy a separate license. Also, you can only download the maps of one country: you have to pay more if you want to download other maps.

CoPilot GPS seems to me a very interesting application, especially for the database of places of interest (gas stations, restaurants, hotels) and the possibilities it offers. However, a better design would be greatly appreciated (the one you have now is sort of an iOS/Android hybrid, very poorly integrated with Windows Phone and not very good) and more clarity in seeing how to buy and how much features cost. additional. Otherwise, it's worth a look.
