Microsoft Research Cloud Training
As part of the Windows Azure for Researchers program, which began on September 9, Microsoft Research is conducting online training courses aimed at showing researchers scientists how Windows Azure can help and speed up their work and research
Windows Azure is an open, flexible, and global cloud platform that supports virtually any language, tool, or framework; being ideal to support the needs of interdisciplinary investigations and researchers.
These two-day courses, completely free, are taught by trainers specialized in the use of Windows Azure in scientific research . And attendees will have full access, from their own personal computers, during the training and for six months afterward, to the Windows Azure platform.
It is not even necessary to have Windows installed on the computers to be used, since the entire course will be carried out by accessing Windows Azure through any web browser.
It is not even limited, as I indicated previously, the technology to be used. Thus, the researcher can use, among others, Linux, Python, R, MATLAB, Java, Hadoop, STORM, SPARK, Ruby, PHP, and all Microsoft technologies such as C, F, .NET, Windows Azure SQL Database, and various of the Windows Azure services.
If you have been interested in receiving this training, you can read the instructions in Windows Azure Research Training and discover this powerful tool, of which you have these courses at your disposal.
