Latest Office update in the Insider Program focuses on making it easier to create more inclusive documents
Interesting news is coming for Office users who are in the Insider Program and in the Fast Ring. And it is that Microsoft has released an update for Office users in Windows 10 that under the version number 11504.20000, comes with interesting news.
From the outset, an improvement in accessibility stands out, a field in which Microsoft is actively working as we saw yesterday with Seeing AI. Now two of the most used applications such as Excel and PowerPoint will have a shortcut to determine the accessibility of a document through a button located in the status bar. This is responsible for determining whether a document is accessible and inclusive. It is the main novelty but not the only one.
Along with the accessibility checker, which can act in the background automatically or as determined by the user, there is also aimprovement in the Zoom dialog box, now improved, since it can save the previous configuration so that we will always have at hand the most used parameters. These are the two main improvements and along with them other minor ones that we will list:
- Word Fixed a bug that caused images in a document saved as PDF to have the wrong DPI.
- In Excel various corrections have been added to improve the performance and stability of the application.
- In PowerPoint a bug has been fixed that caused the comments panel to not open or close correctly.
- Also fixed an issue that could cause PowerPoint to crash when removing video from a presentation.
- Also fixed an issue in PowerPoint that could cause the application to fail to launch in landscape mode.
- In Outlook Fixed bug that caused read receipts to fail when using Japanese language.
- In Access the error message created when creating a shortcut to an Access Project has been removed.
- Also added various fixes to improve performance and stability.
For now these improvements are only accessible to those who are part of the Insider Program in the Fast Ring, but it is expected that they will arrive to the majority of users throughout the month of April.
