Table of contents:
It is common for us to register in different services and applications with our email account and over time we end up forgetting which companies we have opened the door to with our data. And that is what we are trying to solve on this web page that responds to the name of Saymineapp
This is a kind of "reverse mining" service for personal data that allows us to know which companies, applications and web pages have access to our data , many of which we may not even remember. An ideal tool for the clueless that we are now going to know.
Data under control
This web page also requires access to our email account so that it can analyze which companies, applications, web pages... have our data. It offers information about the companies and services that have access to our data, marking the services that we may consider essential and even making requests for that data to be deleted.
The page is called Saymineapp and is accessible from this link. In fact, when we register we will see how we receive a notice from Google or Microsoft alerting us that we have granted access to our data. An access that we can also revoke once we have used this tool
"Once inside, the first step is to click on the Get started button located at the top right of the website and in the middle zone. This takes us to a page where we must select the number of services that we believe have service to our data (we can indicate the number we want, it doesn&39;t matter) and later on Next , the previous step before knowing which websites have our data."
Once registered, we will have to enter a name to identify ourselves and again click on Get Started The tool starts searching through all the applications, companies and websites with access to your account data, a process that can take a few seconds."
We will see a screen with a summary of all our data. The exact number of companies that have our data appears and next to this box, another two with the companies that have had access in recent days and the progress of your data. If you click on See which companies you will see the companies that have access to your data. On the left there is a bar with three options:"
- OvervieW
- My footprint
- My claims
If we click on My footprint we will see a new screen that shows each of the companies that have our data. Organized by dates, if we pass the mouse over the boxes, we will see that in some of them the Reclaim button appears, so that we can request the deletion of the data in that web page."
With this process, what we do is start the process by which we ask the company to delete our data To do this, The Saymineapp website will send an email to the company requesting it, and a copy to us as a backup. In this way, the company to which we request it will delete our account from its servers.
The claims made will appear in the section My Reclaims, with the company claimed and an indicative that informs us about the status of the claim ."
Delete our Saymineapp data
"With all this, we may be interested in eliminating our data from this website, and to do so we only have to click on theicon of our profile in the upper right area. We will see a box with the text Delete your Mine Account After a question about whether we are sure to delete our account, we can say yes and the data will be deleted. "
Another way to eliminate access to our account is to go to this link and choose Mine from the list to see the Withdraw access button". If we have registered with a Microsoft account, we must access this link to find the list of applications with access to our account.
