Bing renews its logo and adds more features to search

"A few months ago we saw a possible redesign of the Bing logo: clearer, flatter and in line with the rest of Microsoft&39;s vision. Today those from Redmond have unveiled the new final logo, which is not exactly the same but maintains the yellow color (the same as the yellow of the Microsoft flag) and the shape of an arrow."

The typography is the traditional one for all the company's products: Segoe, and they will maintain the usual color palette, focusing on yellow, red, magenta and purple.

But Microsoft has not stopped there and has accompanied the renewal of the logo with new features in its search engine. The first: a redesign of the page .

They aim to create a functional and efficient search engine as well as being attractive. The change is not too radical, but it helps to better see the most important information in each search. In addition, the design is responsive and will adapt to any screen size, be it Surface, Windows Phone or PC.

The redesign greatly strengthens snapshots, info cards about whatever you're looking for. They are similar to those of Google, but with more information: they combine data from Wikipedia or Freebase, related searches and check-ins, updates and photos from social networks.

They have also created Page Zero. The idea is that we can act and see results before having the search page, being able to see related suggestions or decide what we want to find when our search is ambiguous.

Finally, we have Pole Position , an area that will appear when Bing knows exactly what the user is looking for. For example, there we will see weather forecasts, images of a celebrity, specific definitions... With this, they want us to find what we are looking for more quickly and, in many cases, without even leaving the search engine.

All the changes look very, very good, but they have not specified when they will arrive outside the United States. And taking into account the precedents, it seems that it will take a long time to see it on our screens .
