It's been the never ending story. And it is that months and months have passed since the Surface Duo was presented until it hit the market, in very few countries. A launch from which Spain was excluded, at least until now, when Microsoft announced that the Surface Duo is coming to our country, although it will do so with a small handicap .

The new Microsoft phone comes with the not very complicated task of correcting everything that was done wrong with Windows Phone and for that it uses Android as the operating system.A phone that finally we know can be purchased in Spain, although for now only limited to the business market and educational environments.

Specifications and Features

In the official Microsoft publication, they report that the Surface Duo is coming to Spain aimed at business customers and those in the field of education, which clearly indicates how Microsoft is going back with these two market niches.

And it is not surprising, because with a double screen model we find ourselves before a terminal clearly dedicated to productivity that allows us to take advantage of multitasking with different applications on their screens and separately.

The Surface Duo is a mobile device with two 5.6-inch AMOLED displays and a hinge system that allows them to rotate up to 360 degrees, which in practice translates into different layouts and uses with the ability to run two different applications at the same time, each one on a screen. Fully unfolded, both panels offer an 8-inch diagonal display with a resolution of 2,700 x 1,800 pixels.

The problem is that we are talking about a device announced at the end of 2019, whose hardware has not changed. A mobile, which is what it basically is, with a Snapdragon 855 processor, the most powerful Qualcomm at that time but not now A SoC that comes with 6 GB of RAM and has models of 128 and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

The Surface Duo has a USB-C 3 connection.1 for 18W fast charging or video output. The battery is 4,500 mAh and supports wireless charging (15 W) and reverse (4.5 W). It also incorporates a camera with an 11-megapixel sensor and lens with f2.0 aperture, capable of recording in 4K.
