This patent shows the possible interest of Microsoft in achieving a smartphone with three foldable screens

A good part of the technological world is already waiting for the celebration of MWC 2019 in Barcelona. We will attend the presentation of a whole arsenal of new terminals and among all the mobiles that we will see, the models with folding or flexible screens promise to capture all the spotlights.
In fact, Samsung has already prepared an _unboxing_ for February 20 in which we will almost certainly see the new Samsung Galaxy S10 in all its variants and perhaps also the much-rumored Samsung Galaxy F (from foldable).Flexible screens are a trend and although Microsoft will not be present this year either with new mobiles (which I miss when I went with the Lumia range) it seems that it is also winking at this type of screens.
That is at least what we can intuit if we stick to the different patents that have successively come to light. And the last one is certainly striking, because represents a jump with respect to what we had seen.
The reason is that Microsoft could be working on a foldable device but that unlike other models seen in different manufacturers, it would use three screens. Three screens that would fold in on each other as if it were a medication leaflet.
This is a new patent and as we always say, we don't know if it will finally see the light of day, especially when Microsoft's secrecy regarding its possible new devices is total. There are no reliable rumors of what may be brewing in the Microsoft offices
The patent mentions a device with three different screens that can be folded. A space saver that could, however, be too thick when folded.
We have seen a few days ago how Xiaomi showed a similar device, foldable, in an already functional prototype, so it would not be surprising if Microsoft was testing all the possible options for their long-awaited range of portable devices with which to return to the path they once abandoned with Windows Phone.
