In the case of the first operator in which we have searched the feeling has been bad. This is Vodafone and in the section for mobile phones to purchase we have seen that they are grouped by rates or by brands/operating system.

We have searched for this section and in the operating system we only see three alternatives and none is Windows Phone We came across iOS , Android and even BlackBerry as an option, but Microsoft's operating system is not listed to be chosen

Only in the case of choosing to renew the mobile do we see how the option to opt for a model with Windows appears. This is the Lumia 550 (which by the way will update to the Creators Update, which we can opt for but only if we are already customers of the red operator.

Movistar

The next stop was in Movistar, perhaps the most important of the four major operators and where, therefore, we had hope of running into some possibilityto get hold of a Windows phone that was offered in their catalogue.

Here the bar to filter the search appears on the left and as in the previous case we did not need to execute it because among the operating systems that show there are no modelsavailable for Windows Phone.

And yes, it is true that unlike Vodafone (as far as free cell phones are concerned), here at least if there are indications that at some point they had them in catalog, but now Windows Phone appears next to a zero number, which contrasts with the 22 options in Android or the two in iOS (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus).

Orange

We arrive in Orange and the hope of finding an alternative melts like sugar in a coffee. And it is that in the case of the orange operator we come across a filter for results in which only brands appear, not operating systems. However a small ray of hope opens when seeing Nokia among the firms (there could be some Lumia even if it was old).

We only have to check the Nokia brand to see how the phone appears It has nothing to do with a _smartphone_ much less with Windows PhoneIt is just a basic Nokia, a 36 euro model that allows you to call and receive messages, ideal for those who do not want to be always connected.

Yoigo

And so we arrived at Yoigo. Three searches with the same result: absolute nothingness. And it is that although we have little hope that the fourth major operator in contention offers in its catalog some model under Windows, the wide range of options it offers makes us harbor a thread of light

We find a sidebar on the left, similar to that of Movistar with options grouped into brands or operating systems.Alcatel, Apple, HCT... and in operating systems Windows Phone reappears but... as in the case of Movistar with a zero to the right A figure that contrasts with the 55 alternatives of Android or the 38 of iOS (they play with capacities and colors to differentiate).

There are only four telephone operators, but they are the four largest, with the largest number of customers and therefore with the ability to go further when it comes to offer terminals and none of them currently have a Windows phone in their free catalog (only Vodafone has one in renewal).

We don't know if this is a symptom of the low popularity of the platform or the low popularity is due to situations like this. The truth is that today getting a phone with Windows Phone under an operator becomes a titanic task in which many will fall along the way tempted by other brands and models.
