The prices of the Lumia 650 spark complaints from users in India, why this price difference?

Surprising news circulating on the networks and Internet media these days and that has Microsoft as its protagonist and the one that is one of its star terminals, so much so that our Xataka colleagues have included it in the list of the most interesting mid-range terminals on the market.
A model that comes to light in different markets with a reference price of 199 dollars but as we see it is not maintained for the same in all countries, something that has raised complaints from users in markets such as India.
And when talking about the Microsoft Lumia 650 (we already had a first contact) the first thing that stands out is its interesting features , at least they are if we take as a basis the price that we have mentioned previously and if it is not enough to take a look at the list that we have under these lines."

If it were 199 dollars or euros for this phone, it wouldn't look bad at all, right? Microsoft would have hit the nail on the head... but it seems that this has not happened in all markets. In fact, in Spain we can find it on Amazon at a price of 214.90 euros and in the Microsoft Store even more expensive at 229 euros.
Yes, it's okay, some may say that it's about higher prices due to taxes and so on, although that makes me laugh, especially due to the fact that to raise prices (not only Microsoft, but all companies) we abide by the tax charges but however we do not take into account the euro-dollar conversion
The fact is that here we can complain, but just a little, because where they have really played a big trick has been in the India, a huge potential market with more than 1.000 million inhabitants that does not seem to be attractive to Microsoft or at least that is what they suggest."
Why Microsoft, why are you doing this?
An emerging market with a low-income population that sees how the price of the Lumia 650 can go up to $250A $50 extra cost that many users cannot afford and far exceeds the $180 initially expected to cost in the Indian subcontinent.
Let's remember that we are talking about a country where mobile phones and technological devices are very cheap and in which Android, due to the huge market that it owns, dominates with an iron hand, so a price that is too high for a device that came to improve market share is not the best strategy, since together with the loss of sales it causes the anger of potential buyers .
Just remember how Nokia had its strongest user base in emerging countries like India, although charisma made it show the _smartphones_ it sold in Europe.
A wrong strategy
Inexpensive terminals or rather, accessible, are the lifeline of many manufacturers and in this case it seems that Microsoft is not It has seen this, since this Lumia 650 loses even against its predecessor, the Lumia 640, which enjoyed a more competitive and balanced price.
And so that it is not said that it is a hobby for Microsoft, just look back a few days to see how it is a trend of some manufacturers , who opt for models with higher prices or more reduced benefits for these countries (there we have LG with its LG G5 in Latin America).
With this price (if they do not change the strategy) it is not surprising that sales do not pick up and that they even fall the hard way Fame gained, so Microsoft, get your act together and adjust prices, because markets like Asia or Latin America are the lifeline you can still hold on to…
