As we were all waiting today Nokia has officially presented the new Lumia 925, its new flagship with Windows Phone 8 successor to the great and already very well known Lumia 920.

The Lumia 925 arrives with a very interesting design in which metal is its main material, in addition to some specific improvements in its camera that once again features PureView technology.

Nokia Lumia 925, design and display

The design that now becomes metallic offers several advantages compared to the classic polycarbonate that we had seen in all Lumia, first of all its thickness decreases considerably until 8.8 millimeters and therefore its weight up to 139 grams.

The screen continues with a diagonal of 4.5 inches and with a resolution of 1280 × 768 pixels, which happens to be mounted on a AMOLED panel and includes house technologies such as ClearBlack, for much more intense blacks, and Super Sensitive Touch, which allows it to be used even with gloves.

Internal hardware and camera

The terminal now has the same hardware as its younger brother, a Qualcomm dual-core 1.5GHz processor that is combined with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, somewhat less capacity than the Lumia 920 and which once again repeats the omission of a microSD slot.

The main camera carries PureView Phase 2 technology, a Carl Zeiss lens, which now happens to have improvements compared to the used in the 920, and an 8.7 megapixel sensor capable of recording 1080p video.

Photographic software is now powered by Nokia Smart Camera, a native application for the Lumia that will allow for quite interesting customization options before and after taking pictures.

Price and availability

The Nokia Lumia 925 will be available in some countries in Europe, including Spain , for mid-June at a price of 469 euros without taxes, the terminal is for a global launch so for a few more weeks it will appear in the US and for the last quarter of the year in Latin America.

Vodafone has said that it will be the only operator to have the version with 32GB of storage, while Movistar will be the one to offer the version 16GB.
