First contact with the Lumia 720. In our hands for the first time

Table of contents:
Enjoying the start of the event for the development of computer applications for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, the Megathon 2013, I am surprised that the representative of Nokia, as a sponsor, shows a collection of mobiles for programmers to can test their applications.
And right between a Lumia 820 and a Lumia 620, I find myself with a very pleasant surprise: the first Lumia 720 that I can hold in my hands , and of which I want to share with the readers of XatakaWindows, my first sensations.
An improved 820 at half the weight
The first impression when you hold the phone in your hand is one of great lightness By comparison, a 920 or 820 are devices heavy, more than twice as heavy, and with quite a chunky feel. The 720, on the other hand, is slimmer, with colored casings, more youthful and handles more nimbly between the fingers.
Which does not mean that it has an excellent Gorilla Glass screen, the same as that of the 820 both in size and resolution, on the which, as seen in the photos, looks perfectly; both in brightness and in contrast to what we are used to from the "high" range of Nokia.
Windows Phone 8 used as operating system runs very smoothly, and it is not noticeable at all that it has just half the RAM memory of its "presumed competitor", the 820.
It also includes everything expected in a device greater than 620, which I talked about in an article a few weeks ago, such as GPS, the compass, the NFC sensor or the excellent optics (yes, , without mechanical stabilization). In addition, it is also compatible with the wireless charging of its older brothers.
The inevitable killer of the 620 and 820
The estimated price range for this new mobile from the Nokia Lumia range is rather uneven. In Russia they are starting to sell it for more than €400, while in Switzerland they have told me that it exceeds €300. So let's say that in Spain it could be around €350
This means that for just over €100 over the current Lumia 620, we have all the features of the current 820. But with half the weight and memory.Which can raise serious doubts about the acquisition of the first, given the excellent quality/price ratio of the second.
The one left in a very compromised place is the Lumia 820 That next to the 720 has a more “serious” design or " bored "; that its great weight is noticeable in comparison with the newcomer; and, being able to have all the features, it could also save us more than €100.
