We already have the three big manufacturers of Windows Phone 8 with all their cards on the table. The latest have been HTC's Thais with two phones, the 8X and the 8S. We are going to review the first, the most powerful and the one that will be its flagship. The design of the phone is quite reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia, with a matte outer cover available in four colors (lime, red, purple and black), perhaps too flashy for my taste. It seems that in this aspect the manufacturers want the phone to be as colorful on the inside as it is on the outside

The cover surrounds a 4.3-inch, high-resolution Super LCD 2 screen (1280x720 pixels, slightly less than the screen I'm writing on right now), with Gorilla Glass 2 protection. At the heart of the phone, we find a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. There won't be room for microSD expansion, which I find really strange considering that the 8S does.
Other details include NFC technology, LTE connectivity and an integrated 1,800 mAh battery. And despite the rumours, HTC continues to count on Beats for audio technology, both in the headphones and the integrated amplifier.
8 and 2.1 megapixel wide-angle cameras
HTC doesn't want to be outdone by Nokia, and has also picked some really good cameras. The main one is an 8 megapixel lens, f/2.0 aperture and 28mm. It will record video at 1080p and, according to HTC, it performs very well in low-light conditions thanks to the ImageChip circuitry.
As for the 2.1 MP front camera, we also have f/2.0 aperture and 1080p recording, although in this case they have extended the angle of the lens up to 88 degrees, perfect if we want to record ourselves or do video calls.
The HTC 8X will cost €600 and will arrive in November
Unlike Nokia, HTC has indeed revealed the price and date of availability of the terminal. 599 euros for the free mobile, which in November will appear in 50 countries with more than 150 operators.
It doesn't seem like a bad phone, but I did expect something a little more original. Perhaps something more similar to the HD7, with the style more typical of the Thais (and with that rear support that I have never seen on another phone, by the way).We will have to wait until we have them in our hands to see how it behaves in reality .
