And wow, the IFA 2012 brought us quite a few surprises, and the one that stood out the most was that Windows 8 was taken as a platform for many of the devices presented, and the mobile version also had its moment of glory, this with the presentation of the first mobile with Windows Phone 8.

The Samsung Ativ S, is that terminal we are talking about, it comes from the new line called "ATIV" which will bring from now on all mobile devices (tablets, hybrids and phones) with the Windows operating system, without a doubt a tough bet on the part of Samsung. But going into details with the phone we have:

Samsung Ativ S Features

With this mobile, the Koreans want to bet everything on the new operating system, since they present it from the outset as a high-end phone, we see this first because of the 4.8-inch screen that isHD Super AMOLED.

We also find inside a 1.5Ghz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, with Expandability via microSD cards (something we really expected).

On the other hand we find that their cameras go up high, the main one up to 8 megapixels with LED flash and the front one with Clearly 1.9 megapixels is to be better used only in video calls.

Samsung Ativ S, design

The terminal has a design very similar to what we have seen in other terminals of the Galaxy line, in fact I find it somewhat similar to the Galaxy Sbut combined with colors we saw on the Galaxy SIII.

Its materials show a resistant design, these combine plastic to give the sensation as if we are facing a team with a metallic finish, of course this to reduce its weight that remains in the 135 grams.

The measurements in detail are 137.2×70.5×8.7 millimeters, they take advantage of the space in the front to leave a small frame on the sides and space for two capacitive buttons and a central physical one. On the back we find a cover that hides a battery with a capacity of 2,300mAh and its respective holes for its photographic sensor and LED.

The new Samsung Ativ S, will be a strong competition in the upcoming mobile market with Windows Phone 8, now we just have to wait Nokia's official announcement to see what terminals will have to fight and if Samsung is really betting everything on the new operating system.
