Microsoft delays the launch of the Surface Earbuds: now they will arrive in the spring and in a global launch

At the beginning of October we attended the presentation of the Surface Earbuds, Microsoft headphones that were rumored to arrive to to stand up to a more competitive marketin which Apple's Airpods monopolize the news but in which there are other renowned players such as the Sony WF-1000XM3.

It was not Microsoft's first adventure in the headphones market, since the Surface Headphones were already to its credit. The problem with the Surface Earbuds is that according to Panos Panay, we will still have to wait longer to see them arrive in the different markets where they will be available.

In Spring 2020

We expected the Surface Earbuds to arrive at the end of 2019 but a few hours ago, Panos Panay, head of Surface hardware at Microsoft, announced that the Earbuds will be delayed and will not be a reality until spring 2020.

There is no confirmed date, so we will still have to wait for more details of a release that, yes, already It will not go by markets and will be carried out globally.

For now, the Earbuds continue to offer the same features and the same design In terms of usability, these headphones can be used with all personal assistants. You can choose Google Assistant, Alexa or Siri together with Cortana and to avoid usage problems we can mark one of them as default while having one always ready depending on the associated device.

The Surface Earbuds work through an app such as Surface Audio, an application that will be available in the Google Play Store, Apple iTunes Store and Microsoft Store to be able to interact with the headphones and be able to adapt the different values ​​(equalization, volume, gestures…) to our liking.
