Microsoft announces the arrival of the Surface Hub 2S: in June to the United States to conquer professional environments

Back in September we heard about the new devices for the professional and educational environments in which Microsoft was working. They responded to the names of Surface Hub 2X and Surface Hub 2S and since then, we have heard very little from them.

Heirs to the Microsoft Hub, one of the company's great successes, which debuted back in 2015, these two new models should arrive in 2019 and 2020 respectively. And already in 2019, the landing of one of them is approaching.

For professional environments

As we already knew, the first to arrive will be the Surface Hub 2S and to communicate its upcoming availability, Microsoft has taken care of announce it on your blog. A model that will arrive first, as usual on the other hand, in the United States.

In the North American country it will be available from the month of June 2019 at a price of $8,999.99, remaining at the wait in other markets for news on availability and pricing outside the United States.

From the Surface Hub 2S we know that it will arrive in a 45-inch diagonal. It will feature Steelcase Roam, a mobile stand and an easy-to-hang wall mount system that make installation in a room easier. And to facilitate the independence of the plugs, it will have Charge Mobile Battery.

The 45-inch screen reaches a 4K resolution Inside we find a contained Hardware composed of an Intel Core i5 processor of eighth generation, a RAM memory of 8GB RAM, a storage of 128 GB via SSD and all this in a much more stylized design than that of its predecessor. In addition, and to facilitate communication between the participants, it includes far-field microphones. With this combination, they ensure that the Surface Hub 2S offers 50% faster graphics performance than the original Surface Hub.

Software-wise, the Surface Hub 2S runs on Windows 10 RS2 in Team edition and offers support for Microsoft Whiteboard (the way to collaborate in a kind of digital canvas shared from almost any device), the ability to use an on-screen stylus, Office 365, Teams, and Skype for Business

This model is the most contained, as incidentally they have announced that they are working on an 85-inch version that should begin to be distributed to throughout the year 2020.
