Surface Hub 2S and Surface 2X: the new Microsoft teams that will arrive designed for professional environments
Table of contents:
The Microsoft Hub was one of the great successes of the company that created Windows when it came to facilitating the development of work in professionals. A team that debuted back in 2015 and that in May of this year saw references to its successor appear, although it is best to use the plural with the term successors…
The reason is that we have met the two new teams that Redmond prepares. They respond to the names of Microsoft Surface Hub 2S and Surface 2X Two models that will arrive in 2019 and 2020 respectively and although there is still time to have them with us, it is not more to know some details.
Design made in Microsoft
And we start with the Microsoft Surface Hub 2S, a device that has been developed with the aim of offering the same experience as the first Surface Hub and at the same time benefit from the improvements that have appeared in these three years.
This will offer a more current appearance with a more stylized design and this will translate into greater ease of use, as this Surface Hub 2S will be easier to mount, either on the specific supports or if not possible on the wall.
In both models the concern of those from Redmond to offer a careful appearance can be appreciated. It is a trend that we have already seen in their latest products, with a Surface Studio at the forefront in terms of the exercise of style or an Xbox One S that knew how to take a step forward in design.
The Surface Hub 2S will arrive in the second half of 2019, but be careful, because a year later we will see how it reaches the markets the Surface Hub 2X.Ok, we will still have to wait a year and a half, but it will be the team that brings everything they promised at Microsoft at the time.
Of the Surface Hub 2X will highlight the option it offers to create multi-screen environments by combining multiple devices. In addition, they can be rotated and will offer multi-user support.
Another aspect of which we don't know more details but which seems interesting are the interchangeable processor modules, a kind of cartridges that apparently are will be inserted into the back of these two Surface Hub models.
We can therefore buy one of the two models and over time update it simply by changing one of these modules It is about of a promising idea, it is true, but we do not know enough details to know exactly how it will work.
We will be attentive to future news from Microsoft that in this sense indicate the approximate release date beyond the part of the year as well as how the markets and prices with which both teams will debut.
