This is the ingenious system devised by Microsoft to avoid heating HoloLens
We are talking about the HoloLens again and it is that if a few days ago we already commented as according to the opinion of some experts, we would still have to wait two years to see how the HoloLens became a tangible reality, now It's time to talk about a patent for which we discovered the method devised by Microsoft to disperse the heat generated by the operation of its glasses.
Today, and this is something we can see in mobile phones, it is common for them to heat up from use, given on the one hand, the powerful _hardware_ that they usually include and on the other other the miniaturization of space and componentsA handicap at times (ask the owners of an HTC One 9) that can cause problems, hence the importance of a good cooling system.
And the HoloLens were not going to be an exception, due to the components that they integrate in _hardware_ mode with which to perform all the calculations and operations necessary for their operation. In the HoloLens there is no external help in the form of a computer, so everything is very well coupled, generating the consequent design and ventilation problems.
And in order to avoid overheating from Microsoft they have devised a design that we can know about thanks to this patent. A system by which Microsoft has created a method to disperse the heat generated by using a Two-Phase Thermosyphon Tube made of multilayer metal with which heat is dissipated from the front area to the back.
Thanks to the use of this system overheating of the front area is avoided, a priori where discomfort for this reason can be more important, to move to the rear area without thereby having to change the comfort for the user.
This is a rather striking system that allows HoloLens to develop significant processing capacity without sacrificing performance comfort and benefits offered due to the heat generated by its operation.
