- Asus, Laptops and All-in-Ones with Windows 8
As you know, on November 29 we celebrated the 2012 Xataka Awards in Madrid, where in addition to rewarding the best technological products of this year, we were able to test gadgets, some even that were not on the market. Let's see how they were and what we could see.
Nokia brought its Lumia range
There were the hardest-to-find Windows Phones right now. Nokia brought their Lumia 920 and 820, and we were all able to test how well they worked and, taking advantage of the fact that we were in a closed place, see if the camera is as good as they say.
Of course, there was also the whole range with Windows Phone 7, and they even raffled off a Lumia 800 and a 610 through their Twitter account.
Intel and its Ivy Bridge processors
The processor manufacturer was also present at the Xataka Awards. At the Intel stand we could find several new laptops with Ivy Bridge processors and, of course, Windows 8.
There we were able to touch the new convertibles, hybrids and ultrabooks, increasingly fine and functional. There was even one so thin that many (among which I include myself) confused it with a tablet with Windows 8 Pro.
Mountain, raw power
Not everything will be portable this year. Mountain brought their most powerful desktops, brute force to show that they still have a lot to say. The most powerful, with three monitors and a high-quality image, is the one that the xatakeros who passed by could enjoy.
In addition, Mountain raffled two Kingston SSD hard drives and a Mountain F-11 Ivy among those attending the Xataka Awards.
HP and its driving seat
One of the stars of the party was HP. Not content with bringing computers, they also brought a driving seat connected to their HP Phoenix H9 so that anyone could try the experience of driving a Formula 1 car. Of course, there were also Windows 8 laptops and touch computers.
In addition, HP raffled off a coveted HP Specter XT to everyone who stopped by its booth during the awards.
Asus, Laptops and All-in-Ones with Windows 8
The Asus booth was one of the biggest at the Awards, with various touch computers and a huge 27-inch all-in-one. Among them was the Asus Taichi, the Taiwanese dual-screen ultrabook.
There were also their tablets, like the Asus Vivo, and convertible laptops. Quite an engineering marvel, with a really good design.
If you want, you can see the rest of the photos and videos of the event on Flickr and on our YouTube video channel. And, of course, with all the detailed information on the prizes in Xataka.
