Our life on the net currently passes, most of the day, through our smartphones. The data connections or WiFi connections tremble when we connect and devour, mercilessly, mega after mega in the connection.
No wonder our data rates skyrocket or surges on our local wireless network aren't long in coming. Windows Phone offers us a tool called Data Sense, data sensor in Spanish.
Data Sense, easily control your data spending
Data Sense monitors for us all the flow of data that passes through our smartphone with Windows Phone. If our rate is limited, we will have a great ally to control our habitual use of the network.
We have a usage graph that clearly divides our data spending according to each network connection: on the data network and on WiFi network. We will also find out exactly how much of that data each installed app has consumed. On the other hand, we have a summary screen that indicates the exact data we have left to consume to end the month.
For greater security, we can set limits within the Data Sense configuration. These limits are categorized into: Data bonus, Monthly and unlimited.
Data bonus and Monthly allows us to insert the date of expiration or restoration of the data rate that we have, in addition to the quantity , either in MB or GB, and the Unlimited mode will simply show us the consumption, without any warning or restriction.
Reduce data traffic and locate WiFi hotspots
Data Sense is not just about controlling data usage, it will also help us to consume less data thanks to a Pair of functions implemented as standard and can be activated in the application configuration menu:

Limit the amount of background data used by your phone: Many applications and features on your phone are designed to automatically capture information without that is viewed for convenience (for example, an email application that periodically checks for new messages). With Data Sensor, you can choose when to limit these types of activities.

Reduce data usage while browsing the web: Data Sensor can also help you by taking a number of actions, such as compressing web pages and block some ads to reduce your total data usage when you browse.
We can also access a map of nearby WiFi networks from the drop-down menu below. In it we will know which and what type of public or popular WiFi networks there are in our city, with which we will be able to save expenses on the data rate of the mobile network.
