Metro Commander is a Modern UI file manager that performs all the basic tasks needed with files. Metro Commander, what it is and what it does
As we mentioned in the introduction, Metro Commar is an application to manage documents stored on your computer's storage devices, capable of performing basic tasks with them and also allows you to keep them synced with your SkyDrive account
This application uses a brilliant Modern UI, and by default it starts with a combination of cyan and blue tones. When opening folders, it does so in 2 different panels, which makes the file transfer process easy. This is called Dual Pane interface
At the top and bottom of the application there is an options bar that provides several basic tasks to perform with files and folders, but also, you have the option to change the background.You can choose any image to put it in the background, or use the Bing Backgrounds that will alternate every day, just like on the Windows 8 and Windows Phone lock screen.
As soon as you launch Metro Commander for the first time, the application will request authorization to link with your SkyDrive account. If you accept, you will be able to transfer files quickly, and also open those that are hosted directly in the cloud.
The only problem that could have been highlighted is that more than one folder could not have been opened at the same time, as it is done on the desktop so that they appear in different windows. However, the Dual Pane interface is an innovative feature that solves this problem squarely
However, what this app is missing is the ability to select an entire PC as a folder, so you can access all your folders from one place.This option is really important for people who have all their files and folders divided into different storage drives.
Also when you open a file, open it with the default application. There is no way to choose a program to run that type of file by default. Options such as scanning files and folders for viruses are also unavailable.

Users who use a touch interface will be delighted with this application as using Windows File Explorer with touch screens can be a bit complicated.
