Tricks to log in to Windows 8 without a password and go directly to the classic desktop
Table of contents:
The interface Modern UI of Windows 8 offers us a large number of advantages such as, for example, the possibility of having on the screen start all the news of the applications that we use the most. Taking a quick look we will know if we have new email messages, the weather, if there are updates for the applications we have installed, or see the most outstanding news from the press. In a matter of minutes we can configure the start menu to our liking thanks to the freedom offered by this attractive interface.
While the Modern UI is most comfortable to operate on touch devices, it is also fairly easy to use with a mouse. Even so, there are users who find the latter uncomfortable, so we are going to show you some tricks to log in to Windows 8 without a password and go directly to the classic desktop
Automatic login
When starting Windows 8, the first thing we will see is the login screen where we must identify ourselves with a username and password. For those who are sure that their computer is safe from unauthorized access and prefer a faster login, we are going to show you in a few simple steps how to bypass This process.
The first thing we have to do is press the Windows key and the R key at the same time to open the Run menu. Enter the command netplwiz and after clicking on Accept we will access the user account manager .
Now we only have to uncheck the box Users must write their name and password to use the equipment, which is located in the top of the User Accounts manager window. Click on OK and the next time we restart the session or the computer, we will directly access the Start menu.
Go directly to the classic desktop
Although in Windows 8.1 it will be possible to directly access the desktop without having to go through the start menu, those of you who don't want to wait until then, can resort to one of the solutions that we show you below.
The first and easiest of all, with which we will not have to resort to external software, is to use the Programmer of tasks. We simultaneously press the Windows key and the F to open the Search menu, and we introduce the word “program” in the upper right part. Now make sure to click on Settings to bring up the application Schedule Tasks on the left side of the screen and click on it to start it.
In the window that will open select the Task Scheduler Library, in the right column we click Create basic task and we only have to follow the steps of the wizard:
- Name and description: Enter the name you want to give the task. For example, Start with Desktop
- Trigger: We select At login to have the task carried out at that moment.
- Action: We select Start a program and in the Program or script field we write explorer
- Finish: We check that all the data is correct, click on Finish and close all windows.
The next time we log in or restart the system we will go directly to the classic desktop. This method is not perfect because although we will get what we are looking for, it will also open the File Explorer window.
An alternative method is to configure our Windows 8 to directly access the classic desktop by installing programs such as Bypass Modern UI.It is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems, and installation is as simple as double-clicking and following the on-screen instructions. If at any time we want to uninstall the application and return the system to its previous state, Bypass Modern UI allows us to do so from the installation menu itself.
