Keep your photos organized in the cloud with Windows 8

Windows 8 has an application called Photos, which appears in the Modern UI interface since you install the operating system Thanks to this application, we can have grouped the images that we save in the image library, on Facebook, SkyDrive, Flickr, and network devices or removable devices.

If we have the dynamic icon (Live Tile) activated, random images will be displayed in the Start Menu that belong to any of the groups mentioned above. This feature can be disabled, as well as the possibility of showing images from a certain group.

Activate connection to available services

By default we will surely see the categories of Image Library, Facebook , SkyDrive and Flickr If we want to synchronize with any of these last services we will only have to click on any, and a window will appear that will ask us for our identification data in order to connect and download the images associated with our profile.

If we do not want to use any service, we just have to click on the hide button that should appear in its dynamic icon; or go to the configuration options that are always available in the access bar on the right, which we will display by moving the cursor closer to one of the corners on the right.

In this section, we will see a category called options. From here we can choose if we want random photos to be displayed on the application icon, as well as the services from which we want to show our photos.

If we display the lower access bar, with a right click, being on the cover of the application, one of the options that we will see will be to import. This will allow us to add a new Live Tile to the Photos app, which will show images from that device and allow us to manage them, as long as that device is connected to the computer.
