We return with a new edition of The best games for Windows 8, where little by little we will see various games that we can find in the windows store. If you know of a game that we haven't featured yet that you think should be on our list, feel free to post a comment suggesting we write about it.
In the previous article we talked about Jetpack Joyride, Robotek, ARMED! and Radiant Defense; all free games or at least with access to a part of them. On this occasion, we bring you these four: Dodo GoGo, Flow Free, Skulls of the Shogun and Doodle God F2P
Dodo GoGo
Dodo Gogo is a game made exclusively for Windows 8 with the Unity engine. The player takes control of Dojo, a dodo (extinct species since the end of the 17th century) who tries to escape from the lava that comes out of the volcano. To do this, you can control the dodo by moving it left or right, since it will automatically jump when it lands on a platform.
In each game we will find boosts such as the second chance, to revive in case we fall into the lava, others to ascend at a higher speed for a while or even to take a big jump. These boosts, although they are collected during the course of each game, can also be acquired through the points that we will obtain each time we play.
The default game has an advertising banner at the top that doesn't bother you at any time when playing.However, it can be removed by purchasing any of the Boost Packs on offer. These packs are used to get points quickly, the cheapest option being 5,000 points for €1.19, although you can also get points for every time you play as I mentioned above.

Flow Free
Flow Free is a puzzle in which a board with colored dots is made available to us, as you can see in the attached video, and our goal is to join them by pipes without crossing at any time others that we have previously placed At the end of each game, all the space on the board will have been used, so you have to think carefully about each movement before making it.
The game has various level packs, offering boards ranging in size from 5x5 to 14x14, and each difficulty level includes 150 boards.There is also the possibility of purchasing level packs for €1.69 each pack (150 boards each) with which we would also eliminate the lower advertising banner that does not interfere at any time with the game experience.

Skulls of the Shogun
Skulls of the Shogun puts you in the shoes of the late General Akamoto, who will try to prove who really deserves the title of Shogun of the dead (shōgun was a military rank and historical title in Japan granted directly by the emperor, equivalent to Army Commander).
This is a game of turn-based strategy, in which the player can move his units within a range delimited by a circle. When attacking, a unit will show a red circle and an orange circle around it, meaning the red one will hit 100% with your attack if your enemies are inside it, and the orange one means you have a chance to miss if you want to attack someone that is at that distance.
There are 3 units available, which are Infantry, Cavalry and Archers, being able to attack both with basic attacks and with spells and special abilities. Each team has up to 5 orders to send per turn, and an order can only be canceled before it has been executed. Each unit will carry a banner with a flag indicating the life of that unit.
During the course of a game, you can take control of various areas, eat the skull of your enemies to increase your stats, summon monks with special abilities, create spiritual barriers to protect a group of units , etc. Your team will be made up of all the units you create, and a general. If the latter dies, the game is over and you lose.
Although this game is not free, in addition to all the endless possibilities it offers and the quality it has, it has another feature that makes it stand out, and that is that it is the first game to offerFull compatibility between the versions of Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Windows 8 and Windows Surface, being able to face anyone from the mentioned platforms that has the game.And not only that, but you'll be able to continue your game from any of your devices, because your data will always be synchronized with Xbox Live.

Doodle God F2P
Doodle God, available for various platforms in addition to Windows 8 and Windows Phone, is a game in which the player must combine the available elements together , to create new elements that can be combined again later. The combinations can be both physical (such as water and lava combining to obtain water vapor and stone) and metaphorical (such as water and fire combining to obtain alcohol).
The game starts with the 4 classic elements and there are currently available more than 200 possible combinations of elements, although updates are made from time to time that increase that amount.If you get stuck, a hint is available every few minutes.
Throughout several chapters you will advance in the game, unlocking new possible elements through combinations, even making use of magic in the last chapter.
The game also features missions, puzzles and challenges, such as turning a nuclear bomb into a flower, creating ice cream from basic elements, a locomotive or a skyscraper. Also, as you progress you will unlock boxes for artifacts, but to get them you will have to combine the elements from which they are created (for example, to obtain the Stonehenge one, you will have to combine 3 stones).
