Apps for Windows 8 of the week: El País

With this article we begin a series of contents in our Welcome to Windows 8 space, through which we will introduce you to several of the applications available from the Storeand we'll talk about what they can offer you.

This time we review these 4 applications: El País, eFactura Online, Los 40 Principales and Vogue All are free applications that are already available available for download from the Windows 8 Store, and you have a link at the end of each one to download it.

El País: news in the palm of your hand

This is the cover of the El País application, which allows us to easily navigate between the latest news published and updated to the minute by the Spanish newspaper. The cover category is the one that is present first, followed by the others that are distributed to the right.

In the lower menu we have a button to update, since the application does not do it automatically when El País publishes a new content. In the lower right corner, the “-“ button takes us to a view where the available categories (economy, culture, etc) appear so that we can easily access to them, without having to scroll to the right and look for them.

On the cover, we will see an image for each news (if the news includes any) next to its title, and to access the full article, simply click on it, which will take us to a view like the following.

The information is distributed correctly in columns, so that the text is not heavy to read for the reader. In addition, there is the possibility of modifying the font size if we access the lower menu, where we can choose between small, normal (by default) and large.

eOnline Invoice: ideal for SMEs and freelancers

eFactura Online for Windows 8 is the first billing solution for SMEs and freelancers in Spain adapted for all types of Windows 8 devices .

When entering the application, it will ask us for our access data, or to register in case we do not have an account. Once we log in, the first view we will have of the application is the one shown in the image above.

By default, a "Testing Company" is created, although it is also necessary to establish at least one client to be able to handle the application a bit and discover what it offers. To do this, we can click on View Clients, and then add a New Client from the lower menu.

With a client and a company created, it is very easy to start taking advantage of the application. If we go to the section to create new invoices, we can choose for which client we are creating it, what type of taxes we want to apply, add observations, assign a invoice number,print it, and other functions, as well as counting them or not.

Different products can be stored, each one with its reference, description or price and when adding it, the quantity, whether or not a discount is applied and at the end the total amount of the invoice will appear, with the respective modifications according to discounts and taxes applied.

When we have several clients and invoices, on the front page we will see a graph in which we can visualize the last quarter, semester or year with the total amount of our invoices, and on the right the last invoices created .

Top 40: Top 40 Instant Hits

From the top 40 application while you listen to your favorite hits, you will have at your disposal all kinds of information about the artist you are listening to at that moment, such as his biography, discography, etc.

The application allows us to listen live to the broadcast of the station, and all kinds of content from both Los 40 Principales Spain, and of all available in Universe 40.

There is also a section where information is given on each of the 40 hits of the moment, in addition to the news section, which It has a feature like Flip Ahead present in Internet Explorer 10, and the Videos 40 section where there is plenty of material about your favorite artists.

In addition, there is the section Audios 40, where you can listen to Go ahead! and The Sea of ​​Nights in case you missed it during its live broadcast, as well as other programs that are available in said section.

In each and every one of these sections, the lower part of the application, when displayed, contains the section Now Playing, to tune in to the station while browsing the rest of the content, as well as allowing you to pause or adjust the broadcast volume.

The universe of Vogue Spain, one of the most emblematic titles of Ediciones Condé Nast, moves to the Windows 8 environment. Updated daily, the application offers the best reports on trends, fashion, beauty and lifestyle, all the national and international catwalks photo by photo, videos, fashion films and endless ideas to make the right purchases for the season.

From this application reading the contents of the magazine is easier and more comfortable than ever, thanks to the font type and size, as well as as well as the distribution in columns of your information.

On the cover we have some outstanding content, as well as links to its official website, Facebook account, and direct access to sections of the application, such as Shopping, Vogue TV or Catwalk.

If we scroll to the right, first we find the section Style Diary, where we will see the latest content published, with a view preview of any image in case the featured content contains any.

We also have the section Pasarela, where, as it is intuited by its name, we can see images of the latest catwalk shows with a high quality. The content can be grouped according to season, designer or directly see the latest publication.

When it comes to seeing the photographs in detail, they are presented in a perfect way, with the possibility of switching between the previous and the next one in your collection by means of arrows located on the sides of the screen, or by swiping left or right on touch devices.
