Remember that Civilization VI was first released in 2016, since then the game has been constantly updated and improved to offer the most polished and complete experience possible for its users. Late last year, the game made a surprise appearance on Apple's iPad, so the new version for the Nintendo Switch isn't a big surprise. Like the recent Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition reveal for Switch, today's announcement is likely to be part of this week's delayed Nintendo Direct event, which was postponed due to an earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan, earlier this week.

Let's hope that Nintendo Switch users will receive many more third-party games before the end of this year 2018, since competition is something that always benefits users.
