For some time now, gaming laptops have been on the rise, and almost all manufacturers are releasing very powerful variants that are capable with any video game. Acer Predator Helios 500 is a new option that will arrive later this year with the new Intel processor, the Core i9 8950HK, although there will also be other more 'economic' configurations.

Acer Predator Helios 500 combines a Core i9 8950HK + GTX 1070

This laptop will come with two possibilities, one with the Core i7-8750H processor and the aforementioned C ore i9-8950HK. The laptop's screen is 17.3 inches with a 1080p IPS panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The configurations listed by Acer only included the GeForce GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM memory. The Helios 500 is equipped with 16GB of DDR4 memory and 256GB of capacity in M.2 SSD format. In this case, the capacity seems to be insufficient to install games, so we imagine that a hard drive can be added paying a difference in both models.

In terms of prices, the version with Intel Core i9-8950HK was priced at 2840 euros. In the case of the i7-8750H, this will cost about 2, 134 euros.

The Intel Coffee Lake H series, which includes the first 6-core processors for laptops, are going to start announcing starting next week with several laptop models, it is expected that the Acer Predator Helios 500 will be among them. This processor is also expected to be agreed with a GTX 1080, probably with another manufacturer.
