Acer presents the predator xr342ckp monitor with 100hz and freesync

Acer has released the Predator XR342CKP monitor to the player market. The unit is an upgrade to the Predator XR342CK and provides a native refresh rate of 100Hz, this is a major departure from the 75Hz that the 'old' XR342CK offered.

The XR Series monitors combine the latest color and performance technology with a curved monitor design that looks stylish and with personality. Specifications are in line with the previous P model, including an ultra-wide panel at a resolution of 3440 × 1440 (IPS panel). The monitor supports AMD FreeSync for variable refresh rates, 1000: 1 contrast ratio, 300 cd / m2 brightness, 172/178 viewing angles, 1.07b color depth, and the standard sRGB color gamut. The listed 100 Hz is labeled as overclocking frequency.

As its name suggests, the monitor has a 34-inch screen and has only 1ms delay, making it ideal for competitive gaming.

As for connectivity, it comes with HDMI and DisplayPort port, plus five USB 3.1 ports. Two stereo speakers are also included in the 7W power monitor.

The XR342CKP is on the Acer website with a suggested retail price of $ 1, 799. This price does not seem a bit excessive for what it offers, considering that the previous model today costs about $ 1, 000 approximately.
