Goodbye to touchscreen notebooks
Apparently touch screens on laptops have not been as successful as expected. With the arrival of Windows 8 it was thought that they would be widely accepted by merging the experience of using laptops with tablets.
Today, due to the low popularity of notebooks with touch screens, many manufacturers have decided to stop using them in their devices and are going to mount them only on tablets, 2-in-1 convertible computers and some Ultrabooks / Ultrathins. A change most likely motivated by the high cost of such touch screens, with its removal it should be easier to launch cheaper equipment on the market. It remains to be seen if the future arrival of Windows 10 will give touchscreen notebooks a second chance.
